Wohnring
The Wohnring is next to the Marx-Zentrum, the most famous building complex in Neuperlach. The Wohnring residential development is up to 18 storeys high, accommodating 4,500 people in around 1,700 apartments. The complex also houses community facilities, a primary and a special needs school, a church and a centre for youth and older people.
A weekly market has been held at Theodor-Heuss-Platz since 2018. Located within the residential ring, most of the area is green space open to the public. In the middle of this green area is the ZAK eV voluntary association (Zusammen Aktiv in Neuperlach or Active Together in Neuperlach) cabin where many residents volunteer.
The landmark of Neuperlach, the "Space Churn" by George M. Rickey from 1972, is also temporarily located here. It was originally located at the Plett Centre, then until 2018 at Hanns-Seidel-Platz, where it had to make way for the construction site.
