The Deckelgelände mechanical engineering factory.was located in the square between Boschetsrieder Strasse, Steinerstrasse, Plinganserstrasse and Tölzer Strasse until the 1990s. The production hall, built in the 1960s, is still of architectural interest. The production site, which is now a listed building, does not need any internal supports. Its entire central area was carefully designed in this way to accommodate large machinery. This self-supporting steel framework construction is dominated by the seven-storey former administration building. In future, the former plant area will serve a mix of residential and commercial uses. The central production hall will be visually and functionally renovated to accommodate small businesses, cultural enterprises and social institutions. In addition, new buildings with apartments and offices are also planned.
